The quote is from a newly composed piece for Daevidius. Too long time has passed since my latest release but there is work in progress and the plan is to release some material in the months to come. Hopefully there will be an album out by the end of the year or next year. Pray for us that time is on our side and we can give to you what is hidden in the wings.

Turning an eagle into everything

During the last month; maybe even the full summer, I have been analyzing songs for the coming releases. Some of them passad the tests and some have been rewritten. This is the case for a new song EVERYTHING. It started out as a piece about freedome brought to us by Jesus Christ (HOUR OF FREEDOME), evolved into EAGLE; a song about freedome from fear. Now it has become a totally new track with some musical changes and a new lyric. This is now the song about love namned EVERYTHING. Could this be the final one? Who knows?

Songwriting the normal way

Most people, at least my circle of friends, start with the music first when composing. I believe this is the most common approach in rock, pop and metal. I have always been focused on writing texts and lyrics as the message for me is the centre piece. My belief has always been I am not able to work the other way around. Well... 

Scanning through my archives I stumbled over an old song with an outdated lyric. The music in itself is complete so I just need to add lyrics. There were already many lyrics in my folders but noone seemed to fit. A deep sigh... Should I try to write the "normal" way? Well; why not? Courage and faith is all we require, right? I just went for it and to my surprise; I managed to pull it off; at least a starting point in just under five minutes! God is good; we just have to believe in Him!

New Releaseplan for Daevidius

Life is always wandering in circles and time is the most important item we have. I am usually what you call a optimist with time. On the other hand; I am on the verge of managing my time a lot better. This takes some prayers, changing patterns and realize how important this is. 

I will not publish the latest version of my releaseplan. Let us just be satisfied with knowing there are songs in pipeline and this year 2026 there will be relases of a some material in different projects, including Daevidius.

FIFA World Cup 2026 & rewrite guitar parts

Well, there have been some gigs with Shiverpush, a lot of work hours at my day work and watching as many games as possible in the FIFA World Cup. Still; I managed to practice some guitar parts. And as a result; why not rewrite some of the parts to be more groovy? They can always be improved. And who knows; If another guitar player will come along; maybe he/she can add his/her flavour? This very day; I started to rewrite some minor parts. First to the drawing board was Beyond.

Studio - Guitar parts - Time to rehearse

This very day, just the day after the "local" Sweden Rock Festival 2026, I picked up the guitar again. It has been a while since but it is always a pleasure. The reason for this is to just learn the guitar parts for the first song to be recorded for the next single. It went well. Maybe there will be a request for a guitar player I know very well who as well can put in his effort. Exciting times!

Singles or albums?

All my life I have always preferred albums over singles. I really enjoy listening from point A to point B. However; lately I have been led in new directions. Should I release a new album, mostly recording all parts by myself? Should I record singles as a showcase? Should I record some new and some old? These are some of the questions; there are definitely many more. 

Anyhow; for now the direction ahead is going single. So this is it!

Studio - New versions of vocals completed (phase II)

Mentioned just a week ago or so; I did told you the vocals were completed. This was fact then and is still a fact today BUT I am now in the process of tuning them even further. In other words; I am now in stage 2 with a slightly different approach. This will be excellent!

Studio - New versions of vocals completed

I love the days when the spring is here and the summer is on the doorstep, but it is still not that hot outside. Today was such a day. And to top it all; I had a day off from work! Despite me being sick in the early morning hours; I managed to re-record the remaining part of the songs for Daevidius next album. I have worked on the vocals for quite some time and it is still improving. Due to other responsibilities it has been hard to focus on creating and recording music, but today; maybe it was a breaktrough? The progress is ongoing. Some of the vocals are on the verge of being complete; some are still in a demo stage.

Edition 12, 13 & 14 in my vocal warmup

Do not ask me why it us edition 13 of my vocal warmup; I actually do not know. Could it really be that many different editions? Anyway; since november last year, the progress of getting a better voice is strongly on the rise. One step in this is the latest development; standing on my own and warming up with just a piano. More and more I just put aside the internet resources and learn new scales and new methods. 

The latest edition is for me when I am about to record vocals in the studio. I now have added a piece from Lisa Witt Singeo "7 days to a beautiful voice", since I noted how much this little bits and tricks added to my performance when I sing. Back in March this year, just a month ago, I started out this course; must say it really added to me singing more beautiful.

This will be a blast!

Stuff are raining like cat and dogs, it seems. For quite some time I had the desire to add Arturia KeyLab Essential 88 mk3 White to my studio setup. And now, the time is here! I picked it up just the other day. Now; I got to create some time for creating new music. Stay tuned!

The next step up into the sky completed! Today I collected a Kemper Profiler! It is used but nearly in mint condition. The deal was good and maybe I got a new friend as a result? This will be awesome! So excited and thrilled! Let the recordings reboot!

7 Days to a beautiful voice - Day 1

Today was the kickoff for yet another adventure. Well not that much of an adventure really, but still. I embarked on a new, could be a really important, step in my journey as a vocalist. There is a resource online, Singeo, with Lisa Witt. I decided a while ago to try out one of her free resources. So today was the first day on "7 Days to a beautiful voice". One of the major things in this is me for the first time, record myself when I practice. And I must say it was about time. It is interesting to sing a song you hardly know and then, five minutes later, record a version of it. I find it hard to believe my voice and singing will change in just a couple of days, but hey; why not try?

Just another tool for improved vocals!

One of the elements in a good and sustianable voice is posture. One of my issues is just bad posture. So I thought to myself; why not order an ortopedic corset? So, I did. Got it yesterday and today I started using it. I used it for just two hours and strangely enough; it was quite challening for the body. This will be just another step to a greater level.

Updated routine vokalist

For quite some time, at least a couple of weeks, I have been busy with upgrading my routine for making my voice grow as well as maintain it. As earlier mentioned, I kind of almost lost my voice in november due to a severe cold and no time to rest. This has since then been adressed and today i finished a new way to take care of my voice. I now have new moments and techniques implemented and tested. It is a kind of well balanced and I am pleased. Now, it is time to grow and leave fear of failing and take my place as a son of God.

From Freedome in the future to now

In my vaults there was a composition or rock song namned 'Freedome is coming'. This is an old one; I wont disclose how old; but it has been a travel companion for quite a time. Actually; it was in the discussions to be on the last album ('Beyond') but it was vaulted. I picked it up this time and at first I planned to record and release it as it was. Then; due to personal changes in my view about myself and how I now look at the world around me and the future to come, I said no. Why not change the lyrics to be more on the positive side? Why not be a little more prophetic and seeing with the inner eye? So I quickly rewrote the lyrics and title from being in the future to a status of already have come to pass. This lead to the new lyrics and title; FREE!

Guitarist?

There has always been a question about who's playing the guitar parts on all my publications. Even so now. However; the personal issues with fear and not believing in my own capability, earlier made sure, I always had others doing this for me. But whatabout now? Why not perform more of the tasks by myself? The guitar was there in the stand. So I picked it up and started exercise. And it was fun! And I was so much better than expected! Wonderous; just have to practice and record!
