Sing to Yourself... and God

There is a site Verse of the day who shares a daily verse from the bible. I thought the verse for this day was so beautiful.

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19)

So let´s practice this and sing our hearts out

Remember; even if you don´t play an instrument or write songs you can make melodies in your heart. I think that the highest purpose a human being can have is to sing praise to God. So lets fill the world with our songs! And you will feel good!

New lyrics?

The upcoming album is really an interesting process. As mentioned in earlier posts the songs has been chosen. But now; when I am in the process of recording vocals and the first demos with vocals are coming together the idea came to me: maybe I shall rewrite the lyrics. And also: maybe I shall write just another new song or songs. I want the songs to stand out and especially the lyrics to be in-your-face and provocative and positive for People of The Faith.

So I dug into the deep. I pray that God will help me to make an album that touches and changes and awakens many.

Back to the desk for writing more and change lyrics.

In the phase for ....

The last days I have been working on the vocals for some of the tracks. They are in a demo phase right now and slowly it will come together. I am also certain the guitar for the two last pieces I wrote will be recorded in september or so. Meanwhile I have slowly started to premix and find balance between the instruments. This will of course be working in circles. You know: rense and repeat.

For the next coming days I will go to London to see Iron Maiden. Pray for a good journey without any mishappens and that we will get home safe and sound.

The Heart stops beating....

... when I just shall start rehearsing and drop the bass to the floor. The first thought in my mind was "Oh no I just lost a long time friend". I took a quick look at the mechanics. Just a little piece of the top layer of this material (some kind of composite material, not wood anyway..) I plugged it in and played and it sounded just nice. I think I have to buy just another bass just in case. I ordered spare parts a few weeks ago from China but still they are nowhere to been seen.

Anyway, thanks to God for that the bass did not broke.

Bass Master again

I have posted this post before it seems like. And yes I know I have posted quite similar before.

Today I finished the last of the bass lines for the new album. Since I have rewritten some of the songs I needed to record them again. 

Regarding what songs that will be included; that is still an open question.

Rewritten all over

As you might now I have been rewriting some of the songs of the upcoming Daevidius due to different reasons. And I must say it was a correct decision to make. Today I have finished the last song. And is this process now is completed another issue is calling for action. These changes I have made make it impossible to have the tracklist I have earlier declared. So in the days to come I have to choose which songs to use on this album. There will fewer songs but better songs.

Is Dreams a vision of the future?

Can dreams foretell the future? Yes I think they can. Many times dreams are just a way of cleaning the brain. They are ways to cope with the overflow of information, to get rid of waste. But there are times when dreams can speak of the future. The key to make this happen is to believe it is possible. We got to have faith. And we all have faith if we allow us to have hope and faith and decide to step out of the logical thinking without morals. We need to connect our logics with dreams in faith and hope.

Just a few nights ago I had a dream about the upcoming album 'Beyond'. It might should be handled in a another way. For now I keep the dream in hiding and pray God to lead the way.

Never stop dreaming and believing! It is the only way!
