Updated basses

Yesterday I got my basses fixed! And what a good result. The tonation is better and of course it sounds so much more fresh. And as a result I pulled out one of my first basses from the case it is stored in. And to my surprise it still sounds quite good despite the strings has not been replaced for 30 years...

Session for Guitar player

 This afternoon was a really nice treat. How come? 

For quite a long time now I have been on the look for the next step in the story of Daevidius and even further on to new areas. And this afternoon I finally got together with a friend of mine. For some reason we have never played together so we discussed this and today was the day. And it went down really fine. We have all doors open to see how this develops. Let us pray it will be the way God wants it to be.

How To Go From Bad Singer to Good Singer

Just wanna share one of the most inspiring videos on youtube regarding singing. Too often all of us is just critics and dislikes to fast what we do not get. Or what we are not used to listen to. And the world is sadly turning more and more to less and less individual styles due to we "wanna make it". I am convinced that if Bob Dylan or Mick Jagger would appear they would not achieve such great sucess. Nevertheless I was inspired by this from Ken Tamplin.

Pink Noise?

Finally starting off in the studio again. Right now it is kind of inbetween since a total update of the studio will happen in the following months. This will make the recording process so much faster. In the last days I note there is a technique namned "pink noise" and it sounds promising. 

Otherwise; the songwriting are taken up on again. Since trying out on a new instrument (the piano) we will continue in the same tracks.

Writing new material using new instrument

I have the last couple of days been experimenting with new methods. Just the other night I sat down by the piano and starting composing new vocallines for an old song needing rewriting. And I think it went quite well. In just two days I finished the complete song. Maybe this is a new way forward?

New vocal rolemodel?

Let´s get down to it. Why not trying to push the envelope? Why not trying to reach the sky? Therefore I yesterday decided to get a new vocal rolemodel in my exercises. I wont for now reveal who it is, maybe in a few months I will. But I can reveal He has a nice tone even though some claims he can not sing.... So lets get our hands dirty and practice even harder.

Upgrading... evolving... new sound

 Today is a great day! I have started to upgrade the studio with new gear. Step 1 treaded; a guitar amp purchased for nice price; a Peavy 112 Bandit. New gear to come in the next weeks.
