Next step: Recording and rehearsing vocals

Just today I started recording the first attempts on vocals. I have, as mentioned earlier, noted down some vocal melodies by recording them with guitar. This will not always be the exact way to record the vocals when I am singing but they will be guidelines. And today the inspiration flowed! But in order for it to be as good as possible I will have to use an external producer to make great things even greater!

Melodies for vocals completed

Yesterday I wrote the last vocallines. I have used a new way to record the melody on vocals. Instead of writing it down on paper I used one of my guitars and as the tape rolled I recorded the melody I had in my head. Of course it is just a guideline to the vocals but it will pretty much be the way I will sing.

Yet another step towards finish the album.

In pipeline now is the guitars to be recorded.

Bass Complete

Just today I have recorded the last of the bass tracks. Just a couple of days ago I finished writing the last song or rather the rewriting and renaming of one song.  The evening tonight I will play live with a another band not related to this band. It will be nice.

At last ... Complete

At last I have finalized writing all the songs for the album. All songs were really complete one year ago but I thought to myself: "I can do better". And so I did. This is the final cut. Now it all has to be recorded and them mixed and mastered. Like they say: "Everything worth doing is worth overdoing". And so it is this time around.

Time to celebrate, plans for the future

Tonight I had a friend come over. It has really nothing to do with Daevidius since it is a new project with mostly slow, acoustic songs. Since there is a "huge" celebration for my next coming birthday in 2019 I need to plan ahead. I just put a songlist together and we tried them out and it worked really fine. Who knows what will lead to in the future? Keep on praying to God for greater things!

Coming together

The process for Daevidius third album has been long and winding. Many twists and many turns. Now it seems like I can see the end of the creative tunnel. And this is good.

For the last two months I have been rewriting the lyrics and also skipped some tracks, rearranging some. Right now there is just one song who needs to be finished in the songwritting.

The song titles for the new album with altered lyrics will be. Note this is not in the correct order.

The sun is shining, the creativity is flowing

The last couple of days the weather has been steaming. Not in the sense of extremely hot, it is autumn but still so good. And as a matter of fact, creativity is flowing.

This last days and nights I have finished the four (4!) last lyrics and new titles has been added. So the track list will be updated shortly. Still there are one song to finished, some guitars are to be done. I think it will be finished in the days to come.
