Time to be Meek

What does that word really mean? According to http://www.dictionary.com/browse/meek it means:

adjective, meeker, meekest.
1. humbly patient or docile, as under provocation from others. 
2. overly submissive or compliant; spiritless; tame. 
3. Obsolete. gentle; kind.

Quite interesting I think. And God got my attention the other day regarding this just the latest days. In the world of today we shall always boost ourselves. And especially as an artist or musician it is required of you it seems. But if we are humble and listen to people all around even when they treat you badly, try to see through stupid behaviors and see the man or woman behind. We all need love without conditions.

I have so many times in life been the opposite. It is time to be meek in the first meaning of the word; to be humble, patient even under provocation from others. It is time to show the love of God. Let us pray for a change inside all of us. Let us take this personally and challenge ourselves to be more meek knowing this is only possible through Jesus Christ. Let him lead the way.

Reboot... Restart...

During the last couples of days I have been trying out guitars for recording. I borrowed guitars from my friends and tried out a few of my own. And yesterday I began to lay down some bass lines. The drums and the synts has been programmed before. And even some bass lines have been recorded before. But why not do it all over again and see how it turns out?

The Plan for Recording... Updated

Everything in life is almost always a phase or  a sequence of things. Today I sat and wrote down yet another plan. I am good on making plans but I little worse on delivering them on time. This one, updated is more specific and more accurate. Let us pray it will work out fine and that I can deliver on a high level in every area.

The plan for recording is set ... finally

Yesterday I finally sat down and get a draft down when to record the next album. If the plan holds it seems like the album will be released just before Sweden Rock Festival 2018. We keep our fingers crossed it will be as planned.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Right now I have begun to write new songs. Songs that are intended to be just simple and plan mainly written for just playing on acoustic guitars. These songs will not go under the flag of Daevidius but it still is a big part of me.

I have attended a Larry Norman concert many, many years ago (If you don't know who he is check him out). I was young then and he really make an impression on me. It was just him and his acoustic guitar, so awesome. And later in life I have begun, as so many have, listening to Johnny Cash. I think he was awesome as well. A couple of years back I started playing with a friend some of his songs. And the songs that really stuck was the religious ones like Ain't no Grave. Somehow this experiment with my friend did not worked out.

Anyway, I feel that God has spoken to me about writing some songs in that vain. And so now I have started to do so. The first song to come out of this is Never Alone. I will not yet post the lyric here, it has to wait until I have recorded  and release it. But the subject of the song is so relevant. How come so many feel alone when they have all the stuff they need and can do so much? Why? It is simple. The void we all are trying to fill need to be filled by God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is that simple.

So keep searching and loving and living for God!

Inspired...

A few day ago I got the latest releases from two bands; Motörhead and Arch Enemy. I have heard a few songs from them beforehand. And I have been blown away with the production. This inspired me to work even harder with the mix to see if it is possible to get Daevidius new album just as bright and fine.

Next week I will start design the cover for the upncoming album. And the artwork of the LP from Arch Enemy is nice. I might as well take some ideas from the cover. The colorscale is in the same region as Daevidius albums. Really nice!

In silence we listen

In a world that is online all the time we at same times need to turn all our stuff off and go off grid. And I don´t mean living in Alaska. No, not at all. In order for us to listen we hear a lot better if we sit in silence. Or just listen to the voice of God. And sometimes God talks with a small voice.

And I have an example from this week in my own life. When I am going for a ride I still play CD:s in the car. One of the rides I did last week I picked an album by one of my favorite bands. This album is not one of my favorites since I think many of the songs are not that good. But I thought: "I will listen to it again to see if I change my  mind." Well... it did not change my mind in total but one of the last songs of the album really awoke and arose something in my spirit. And I got inspired. We will see if there will be a new song with a new style coming out of it. I really think so.

So by listen to my inner voice (who I think is a way for to God to speak to me) I might alter some of my ways and widen my perspective. That is nice!
