(Song Series VII) - Why I wrote 'Judgement Day'

Judgement Day is one of the oldest songs on Daevidius first album 'The Demon and The Angel'. Even though all credits for the song is on the behalf of David Dee Bee Bengtsson; in reality Anders Jönsson did a lot for this song to be as great as it became. This was first recorded on a unreleased demo back in april 2009. The solo is a first take that just came out great!

The lyrics paints a black picture and is poetic in its nature. It is subtile and no in-your-face-lyrics. There are many layers and many views. For example:
- The Guardians watching over us, They are those who pray for us and fight against the unseen evil powers.
- The men of power. Politicians and many others are working for world peace and pay no attention to whoever they make alliances with.
- All evil shall fall. When Judgement is upon us true justice will be declared.
- Messiah is supreme. Jesus Christ ends judgement day in a positive spirit when true peace will come for all.

And so it begins...

Finally, we are starting recording. In the first phase we are working on the drums and bass. Or maybe I start with the synths. There is so much going on right now outside the music so I pray all pieces in the puzzle will fall into place.

Yet another path tread upon Part II

Tonight yet another path is tread upon. I met up again with an old friend of me, one of the best most skillful guitarists I ever played and recorded with. He laid down some really good solos on the first album, by Daevidius 'The Demon and The Angel. His name is Anders Jönsson. We have not spoken since summer 2012.

Earlier this year it just come to my mind, it might have been God talking; why don't you contact Anders Jönsson and see if there still is some common ground? It took me about half a year before I send him an old style letter. He responded very quickly and tonight we met up. Over a cup of coffee we set the path for the time to come. And if it all fall into place it will truly be awesome! So many good ideas, so many creativity. Let us all praise God with our creativeness!

(Song Series VI) - Why I wrote 'Desert Land'

I believe to grow you have to die. And I don't mean psychically, but spiritually. And die to what some call the flesh. I believe in order to grow some parts of what we think is our personality has to go. And it has to be in accordance to our own will.

When we are in such a Desert Land when everything seems hopeless, there is no future just darkness. We have no hope of nothing ever changes for the better; thats the place we die. Compare with a seed. In order for the seed to became a great tree it has to die. I think in the same way we have to die away from things we think are in our personality and a part of us to become someone great. And not in a arrogant way with pride in it worst meaning.

Therefore; let us walk through the Desert Land believing there is a brighter day day, knowing God knows more than I do and He keeps me safe from harm.

(Song Series V) - Why I wrote 'Unborn'

This songs is from the viewpoint of a aborted child. It starts off with the dreams and hopes of this individual if it had been born and ends with the pain of the abortation. Partly this song is inspired by the american band Barren Cross and their song 'Killers of the Unborn'. This is a really hard issue to discuss since it has so much to do with guilt. We in Daevidius always think all are equal in the eyes of God and that no sin or action can't be forgiven and the scars coming with our actions can be healed.

Therefore; all life should be protected at any age. Celebrate Life!

(Song Series IV) - Why I wrote 'Leave me Alone'

It is one of these songs I wrote back in 2006. The lyrics in itself is a story about someone who is about to die under gunpoint. He knows in his heart that even if he dies he will get his revenge. It is not about being a zombie or something like that, no it is about always be ready to meet our Maker.

The motiva behind the song is always to be ready. What we saw we will reap. Always be helpful towards those in need. Ask God how to help out in your community.

Yet another path tread upon

Tonight, one of my best friends came over with his acoustic guitar. We took a cup of coffee and shared some songs. We are about to tread just another path on our  musical journey. It is really not Daevidius at all but it doesn't matter. Just a teaser, we will be working together now in the future. This will be exiting!
