Guitar Solos on the go

The last couple of days has been inspiring to say the least!

Just a few days ago I talked with a friend of mine Teddie about music. We talked about recording and stuff and I mentioned I needed a solo guitar player. He told me about a former band mate of his and that I should contact him about this. So I did.

Now we are planning the solos and I have showed him some ideas that I have. Hopefully it will be that I play some of the solos and he do some.

Completed - Guitar works (almost)

Just tonight we finished off the last details of recording the guitars; both 1st and 2nd. Remaining when it comes to guitars are solos and there might be a new player in town...

This weekend will be for cleaning up the project and think about sound, balance. volume and the first stages of mixing. There might be som altering when it comes to drums for example. This will be fun!

New Player in Town

The two last days I have a celeber visitor in my studio. It is my son, Adam Bengtsson, who has agreed to be part of the upcoming album. So we recorded guitarparts for two tracks and it went like a charm. He is so talented and gifted. He lifted the songs a couple of notches. Maybe he will be an executive producer for the album?

It is so fun to work with him. And it is not impossible that we start a new project or band together in the future.

Recycled but new

These last weeks focus has been on recording the guitar parts. This work is still ongoing.

In this work I realized one of the songs there not good enough to make the cut. Or rather is was not heavy enough for the style you are used to from Daevidius.

The song I dropped is Hour of Freedome. In its place I have put an another track I earlier planned to have on the album; Never Surrender aka Killing Yourself. For this I wrote a new lyric with the same meaning as Hour of Freedome. The "new" song will be titled Return Come Back.
