R.I.P. Lemmy of Motörhead

Monday 2015-12-28 Lemmy Kilmister left us all. He have had a major impact on my life and is one of my favourite artists. And one major thing many tends to miss is his great talent for lyrics. He is one of the greatest in that area, writing lyrics with meaning adressing so much going on in the society.

I am glad to say I saw Motörhead 1st Decemeber 2015 in Gothenburg. During one of the songs he was just standing there looking out over the audience in silence. His stance said: "OK, this is the last time I will see this view". To me and my friend Maria Farnestam it was obvious; this might be the last goodbye. And so it was.

Make the Internet fair for performers

In the first half of 2015, over 1 trillion songs, movies and TV series have been streamed online - more than double the amount in 2014. 

However, whilst Spotify, Netflix and iTunes and other legal, on-demand streaming and download services continue to grow in popularity and value, performers still do not receive a fair share of the income generated by their recorded performances.

 In order to remedy this unfair situation, four international organisations representing over half a million performers in Europe (AEPO-ARTIS, EuroFIA, FIM and IAO) have joined forces and launched a campaign for the fair treatment of performers online (the Fair Internet campaign).

Do you believe that performers should be fairly rewarded? If so, you can help us make that happen. Simply sign this petition and share it with your friends and colleagues on social media. Raising awareness is key to setting up a fair legislative framework for performers in Europe.

In times likes this when no truth exists, when so many in the Western World left God behind, I still believe. As you might figured out by now we sing about the reality behind the veil. And I have a prayer in my heart:

Sometimes we all have to go into areas we not know much of. I spent this evening together with my much talented son. He is an excellent musician and an excellent game programmer as well. He is in the final stages of the third part of a game he has moduled. And as a part of that he needed me for voicing. We started recording and it went down very well.

Looking in the mirror to go forward

God works in mysterious ways they say. And surely He do. And friends; that does not mean that God is like a Corporation or a political organisation, no He is forever the same. Anyway; I have been cleaning the archives and found some old riffs that I for a couple of years ago considered too bad and thrown in the can. But I was wrong. Those riffs; wow I have a couple of good songs there! Lesson learned?

Next Generation; Sons of God?

My oldest son, 17 years old celebrated his 17th birthday just the other day. Finally, this weekend he got his 1st Electric guitar plus of course an amplifier and some other stuff. He was very thrilled. glad and thankful for his gift. Of course he played some riffs. And it really makes my heart jump for joy that he is so talented and gifted. Maybe he can be a part of the next generation, a true son of God?

We are now in the process of writing new material for the next album. Have so many ideas, this will be a interesting challenge. Will the songs be heavy? Will they be fast? Writing songs is like a winding road and you dont know the destination.

My heart really jumped with joy the other day when I heard. My favourite band of all time will release a new album and go on tour. Just count me in; I will absolutly see them again. Hope I see you there as well.

Today was the first day of Sweden Rock Festival for me. But wait; the festival do not start until wednesday next week. Yeah, that is correct. But the work on building the festival has start. And today we worked a full day with cables. Soon and very soon.

What is the origin of music really? This subject is for some strange reason a controversy. Some say music is evil. No I say music in its most inner core is neither good or evil, it is neutral. Tones and rhytms can be used in so many ways. It is the heart of the musician that decides which path the music shall take. And how it affects us as listeners.

For a while ago I discussed with a DJ how we as musicians easily can make people do crazy stuff. And the other way around; we can make us all feel good. Or any feeling for that matter.

Remember this; we chose what to believe and what to do with our lives.

Remember this:
Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

I just came home from my vocal coach. She was happy with my performance and tonight I struck the third-line octave C !!! I am so happy!!! And I am still in progress. In very few lessons my singing has improved very much. So bring out the champagne and lets celebrate. At last, as an old classic song puts it, I am back on track again. Tonight I went to Kristianstad,, to my songcoach Solveig Hagman. It has been almost 2 years now since I last time took lessons so I was a little bit nervous. But it went really well and the revered ladys word really made my heart to rejoice. She said: "Why on earth have you waited such a long time to take lessons. It is such a waste!" And she continued saying: "You have quite a register" Thanks Solvieg for being over 80 years young an such an inspiration.
