Mixing and solo

The last couple of days have been interesting. Two days ago I had a friend of mine over to discuss about the details in the mixing process. We clerified some details and come to an agreement. Yesterday Henke Algotsson was in place and laid down the solo for Traveller.

Album progress

Finally I have come upp with an detailed plan for the recording. Have yesterday and today laid down some vocal tracks (on three songs: Leave This Town, Dead N Gone and Desert Land) so now we have two songs completed with everything on it. Let us hope and pray that we keep the plan.

More solos added

Thursday I had my friend Anders Jönsson over to record two solos, Judgement Day and Desert Land. And it went wonderful, in just a little while the solos where recorded and we finished the jamsession by eating pancakes. Not bad at all if you ask me

Solo added for Dead N Gone

Tonight my friend Roger Jönsson recorded the solo for Dead N Gone. We practiced the song for a little while and then, in the first take, recorded the solo. It sounds sweet and reflects the atmosphere of the song in a nice way. Thanks Roger!

Finalizing the album

 Finally!!! Now I have recorded all guitar, bass and drum tracks for the upcoming album. During the next 2 weeks I will record the vocals. In to my studio I have seen to that 4 guitarists will record the solos. It will be a blast!

In mid december the mixing will be start. Right now I have two alternatives, we will see which one it will be. The plan is also to begin to rehearse for gigs in 2012. 

Album update

Tonight Henke Algotsson was in the studio and laid down some guitars. As usual it was a blast and he nailed the song Unborn like nothing. Tomorrow my song coach and friend Håkan Algotsson will stop by and learn me a few tricks of the trade. Looking forward to tomorrow =)

Album progress

A day turns into yet another day... We have no reached mid November 2011 and the winter is soon here. The progress on the album is looking good. I am learning very much right now about the recordning process. This week I will hopefully learn more how to use my voice. The plans also include laying down solos and begin to mix some of the recorded material.

The plan is still to have finished recording all material during november 2011. I keep my fingers crossed.

Drummer J.K. visited

Yesterday evening Janne Korva came by for a cup of coffee. We talked about music and shared some ideas. I think yesterday evening will be a restart for the band... We are still concentrating on making the album and if everything work out as planned we will finish the recordings in november 2011.

Album coverart and booklet finalized

Today I went down to Harlösa ouside of Lund and visited NastyHeart Art. We worked for three hours and decided the design. The next step will be to secure the lyrics and finalize them. During this and the next week contact the printers to see how much the production of the album will cost.

New Sologuitarist

Tonight, the 11th of October Ive been jamming with Klas Olcén. So far so good, it worked out fine. At the end of this week we all will know if Daevidius will have a new guitar player =) Keep our fingers crossed.

Friday 16th of September - Photo Sessions

I went down to Harlösa outside of Lund and met up with Maria at NastyHeart Art. We took on a two hour long session outside in the beautiful september weather. The resultat was amazing and some of the pictures will be in the booklet for the album

Recording Sessions

This week we have been recording half of the songs for the album. I have even rewritten one of the songs, Unborn, with a new verseriff. These songs will be magnicifent!

Added to the band has Anders Jönsson been. He will perform the solos of the songs. It will be a blast =D

Yesterdays news

Yesterday I met up with Henke and Håkan Algotsson. We did a final song test and scanned for if it was any problem areas there. I must say what a brilliant guitar player Henke is. And some new ideas emerged. And finally we got the song Unborn together. It will be a blast.

Today and tomorrow I will prepare all the songs drumtracks. Keep your fingers crossed.

Cover Art and recordings

I was in contact with Maria at NastyHeart Art today. She has now completed the front cover. The next step will be to take pictures for the cover and design a complete album cover.

On wednesday we will take up the recordings again. One of my fellow mates has sadly enough had a computer breakdown so we have to remake some of the work done earlier. But we just remake it and make it work...

Progress on cover

During the weekend I have been at NastyHeart Art and we have discussed the details on the albumcover. I will say I am really pleased with the way the process is working. We think we will have a cover done during this week. It will be wonderful.

Progress on album

Today I got a call from Håkan A. He had laid down guitars and vocals on the song Heaven Or Hell. He wanted me to come over and this evening I was there. I took the bass with me and laid down the bass line for the song in two takes. Håkan had come up with an excellent chorusline and we also discussed adding more guitars and synts.

Work on the coverart has begun

Yesterday I was in contact with the artist Maria at NastyHeart Art. I showed her how I thought the album cover should look like and she begun to sketch. I am looking forward to see the result =)

Yesterdays news are good news

Yesterday I met up with a wonderful rocking lunatic (U know who U are..). I am really excited and happ about what will go down, how knows what will happen in the next months. Anyway feels like I am up n coming =) So watch out World =)
